THREE Wirral men are set to take part in a sponsored back and chest wax to raise cash for a family in need.

Steve Taylor, Dean Reid and Darren Amis from Noctorum are hoping to raise cash to help Steve's sister Stephanie and children this Christmas after her partner Mark Byrne passed away suddenly on November 15.

A local boxing champion, Mark's death has been felt acutely across the sport and his hometown.

The trio hope to raise £500 to help cover the cost of Christmas this year for Mark's children.

Steve told the Globe: "My sister's partner Mark passed away last week and has left behind his family, with one baby on the way.

"Myself, Darren and Dean are doing the sponsored back and chest wax to raise funds for them for Christmas to help out.

"My cousin Texi Amis is also arranging a race night on December 1 at St Peter's School in Noctorum to raise cash for the children.

"We'll be doing the sponsored back and chest wax on December 3 and will broadcast it on Facebook live.

"We are aiming to raise £500 and I have committed to if we beat our target I will have my derrière waxed live too.

"Please if you can spare a few bob no matter how small, to help please donate on the link below to our just giving page.

"Let’s make a difference to some of our own within our community."
