A FUNDRAISER to help grant wishes for those who have been diagnosed with terminal illnesses is set to take place in Wallasey.

Mandi Fisher set up the Precious Wishes fundraiser in memory of her mum Pauline Gibbons who passed away last December after battling oesophageal cancer.

She has also dedicated the event in memory of Ed Fazakerley and Emma Banks who she has helped with Precious Wishes.

Tonight (Friday, November 17) the event at Poulton Vics in Wallasey will welcome around 250 guests will special celebrity attendees such as Christopher Maloney and Miss Liverpool Elli Wilson.

The event will also be hosted by Moaning Bible creator Ian Walker.

Mandi told the Globe: "I'm running the event to mark the first anniversary of my mum's passing.

"When my mum was poorly everyone helped grant her wish to see me get married and she always wanted to thank them and give something back to those who helped.

"She did a lot for charity throughout her life so I now it's my turn to raise funds to help grant others wishes too - just like how they granted mine and my mum's wish to see me get married.

Wirral Globe:

"At this event, we’re hoping to help about five people with the funds who are all terminally ill, so far I have helped seven people in total.

"I am now on my third event and have had the honour of helping two amazing families - sadly two people who I have helped have no passed away.

"I want this to be in memory of them too.

"I have just funded a family holiday to Haven for a man who is currently terminally ill - he loves going to Blackpool and that's what I suprised them with.

"I grew up being raised in a family that was great helping charities and causes, my mum had a big big heart and my father has too.

"So I started a fundraiser called precious wishes to help others wishes happen."

Tickets for Precious Wishes are £10 and will be available on the door at Poulton Vics, Wallasey from 7pm.
