Four fire engines attended the incident and found bales of straw well alight.
Crews used main jets and a compressed air foam system to extinguish the flames.
A mechanical digger was used to spread the straw and crews were then able to dampen down.
No-one was injured.
A barn roof, a quantity of wooden panelling, a chipping machine and approximately 100 bales of straw were damaged by the fire.
Crews remained at the scene for around four hours and 30 minutes.
