A WOMAN was taken to hospital following a crash near Shotwick.
Emergency services were called at around 5.20pm on Thursday after reports of a car colliding with a barrier on the A550 Welsh Road.
The ford fiesta car caught fire not long after the collision.
A woman was treated for shock by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Her condition is not believed to be serious.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service used two hose reel jets to put out the flames.
Crews were on scene for around 50 minutes.
