A 38-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was found with stab wounds in Wallasey.
Merseyside Police were called to Hothfield Road at around 1.05pm on Thursday by North West Ambulance Service after a man in his 30s was found with stab wounds to his head, back and arm.
His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
A meat cleaver was found nearby and was recovered for forensic enquiries.
Christopher Gunning from Hothfield Road was charged with attempted murder and has been kept in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court in Birkenhead this morning (Friday).
