IT'S time to sign up for Culture Crawl Liverpool to raise important funds for cancer charity Maggie's Merseyside.

Taking place on September 29, the event gives participants out of hours access to some of the city's cultural highlights including the Museum of Liverpool.

Wirral couple Kathy and Mark Furlong will leading the walk for the cancer charity which is based in the grounds of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Kathy said: "The first of our three Maggie's Culture Crawls, was London 2015.

"It was an exhilarating night, I was proud to have completed walking the 15 miles.

"We decided straight away we wanted to attend the next one.

"Even better, why not help Maggie's Merseyside with their inaugural 2016 Culture Crawl?

"The planning began - 12 months later the night was a thorough success, an enjoyable, fun alternative to a run or marathon.

"Another year has passed and Mark and I are looking forward to our fourth Culture Crawl, again in Liverpool.

"I've been asked many times why do we volunteer and participate? I could make a very large list of why, the simple answer, because Maggie's helped me live my life, and that's my long term plan."

All of the money raised through Maggie’s Culture Crawl Merseyside will help ensure the Centre built in the grounds of Clattterbridge Cancer Centre continues to provide free, professional support to all those living with cancer who need it across the region.

Registration for the event is £20 and you can sign up by calling 0151 334 4301 or visit https://www.maggiescentres.org/culturecrawl/find-event/culture-crawl-liverpool/
