A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after he was hit by a car in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called at around 1.22pm to Bebington Road following reports that a male pedestrian had been hit by a Nissan Micra outside Victoria Park.
The man was airlifted to Fazakerley Hospital’s Walton Centre however it is believed his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
He has suffered a number of broken bones as a result.
Police have now reopened Bebington Road both ways from Church Road to Bedford Avenue and the car has been towed away.
