NEWLY-promoted Neston Nomads are beginning to find their feet in the Carlsberg West Cheshire League's First Division, highlighted by Saturday's 4-1 eclipse of Redgate Rovers.

Jamie Gardiner, Lee Dunbar, Luke Blondel and Ben Pearson shared the goals, as third placed Nomads built on their hard fought 2-1 victory over Upton AA in midweek.

On Saturday, Upton were on the receiving end again and suffered a 2-1 defeat at Ashville, despite scoring through Aaron Finch. 

Efforts from Peter Hoy and Albert Jones sealed the result for the Wallasey outfit.

South Liverpool maintained pole position, but forfeited their first points of the season after Friday evening's derby clash with Mossley Hill Ath. finished 1-1.

Dom Murphy obliged for Mossley with Mason Nevitt in reply for South.

Reigning champions Newton, were indebted to a late penalty from Gerard King which secured a point against Maghull who were leading 3-2 at the time, thanks to a smart double from Joe Conchie and an effort from Gerard Mullen.

Newton's other marksmen were Liam McDowell and Jackson Ellis.

Honours were also shared, after a goal from Heswall's Stuey Jackson was negated by a reply from Chester Nomads' Greg Lodge.

In Division Two, Dave Mee was on the mark for leaders, South Liverpool Res., who drew 1-1 with Mossley Hill Ath Res, while nearest rivals Ellesmere Port Town missed the chance to take over at the top, when they were held 2-2 by Heswall Res.

Max Jolley and Phil Quilliam netted for the Port with Max Tatler and Jake Horan in reply for the vistors.

Mark Madden bagged both goals for Hale, but it was Maghull Res who profited 4-2, endorsed by strikes from Adam Peterson, Sam Lawrenson, Jack Walker and an own goal.

Doubles from Ryan Smith and Stuart Hardman helped Ashville Res to 4-1 result at Willlaston, Squeaky Clarkson netting the hosts' consolation, and it was celebration time for Cheshire Lines, who had Sam Dickson (2) and Johnny Dunn on target, in Saturday's 3-0 triumph at Prescot Cables Res.

A goal from Mike Ogilvie failed to prevent Vauxhall Motors Res. from losing 2-1 at home to Rainhill Town Res, who hit back via Joel West and Eric Fagan.

Elsewhere, goals from West Kirby Res' Dave Walmsley and Adam Threlfall were cancelled out by replies from Capenhurst Villa's Iain Forster and Ryan Nicholl.

Division Three action saw Page Celtic mainatin their impressive start to the season, and their 100% record was safegarded, when they beat Cheshire Lines Res. 5-0, with goals from Matty Quinn (2) Ryan Morgan (2) and Mark Goulding.

Another high scoring encounter saw Brscough Dynamo overcome Ellesmere Port Town Res 5-3, Dan McSorley (2), Dillon Bousique-Green, Jamall Thomason and Mitch Barclay finding the net for the victors.

Jack Reid and Harley Price scored in Neston Nomads Res' 2-0 success at Capenhurst Villa Res, which enabled their side to take over at the top, while Simon Edwards (2) and George Black plundered the goals, as Chester Nomads Res triumphed 3-1 at Poulton Royal.

Graham Edge was Royal's scorer.

Youth Division leaders, Runcorn Linnets Youth opened their account, with a 3-1 win at Vauxhall Motors Yiouth, confirmed by efforts from Jack Samuels (2) and Mike Radcliffe and West Kirby Youth also had cause for celebration after goals from Nick Halliday and Louie Fox steered them to a 2-0 verdict over Maghull Youth.
