BEAUTIFUL pooch Rico wants to break free of kennel life and find his forever family.

The 18-month-old English Bull Terrier and Lurcher cross isn't enjoying kennel life at Dogs Trust Merseyside and loves going out for a walk outside the centre.

Clever Rico can live with children over the age of 14 and would benefit from some training classes.

A spokeswoman from Dogs Trust Merseyside said: "Rico is a very handsome English Bull Terrier and Lurcher cross.

"He's still a young lad with a lot to learn - he really doesn’t enjoy kennel life, but when he goes for an off-site walk he’s such a different dog, more relaxed and at ease.

Wirral Globe:

"He adores attention and will happily return it, and loves to be close enough to touch you.

"Rico loves his toys and will give them up very nicely if you swap it for another.

"He is also incredibly clever and if you’re looking for a flyball or agility pal, Rico could be your boy.

"He gets along with other dogs but seems unsure what to do with the livelier ones at times, so he sometimes prefers quieter dogs for company and walking pals."
