FOUR men have been charged with affray following a series of dawn raids across Wirral by Cheshire Police.
The men were arrested on Wednesday as part of an investigation into disorder in Chester city centre on Friday, March 3 following the Chester FC v Tranmere Rovers football match.
A 20-year-old man from Wallasey, 29-year-old man from Willaston, 44-year-old from Prenton and 31-year-old from Rock Ferry have all been charged with affray.
Three of the men have been bailed to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on August 24.
One man has been bailed to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on September 13.
As part of the operation six warrants were executed at addresses across Birkenhead, Prenton and Bebington.
