ACOUSTIC performers will return to Hamilton Square for this year's Summer Sessions.
From August 4 Summer Sessions will bring music from some of the most talented musicians from Merseyside from 12pm to 2pm every Friday.
Audience members will be able to chill out in deckchairs and laze on picnic blankets to enjoy their lunch in the sun.
The first free event from Birkenhead Business Improvement District (BID) will welcome singer Natalie Collins who has had spells in musical theatre frequently plays the Cavern Club.
On Friday, August 11 Caroline England whose latest album 'Faking Wonderful' is available on Itunes, will perform before Marc Kenny takes to the stage on Friday, August 18.
Insanity Beach's Ian and James will also take to the stage on August 25.
Place shaping manager at Birkenhead First Joseph Scarth said: “A key part of the BID’s work is to encourage more visitors into the town centre and to celebrate the fabulous areas within it.
"This year we are absolutely thrilled to welcome some of the most talented local artists to the stunning Hamilton Square to entertain music lovers from around Birkenhead and hopefully further afield.
"Businesses throughout the town centre are joining in the festival spirit and will benefit from the extra crowds.”
