RESIDENTS of a nursing home in Ellesmere Port were evacuated after a fire broke out in the night.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 9.07pm on Tuesday to reports of a fire in a laundry room of the property on Pooltown Road.
No-one was injured.
Two fire engines attended the blaze and crews investigated the area.
It is believed that the cause of the fire was down to an overheated washing machine.
The laundry room was isolated and firegfighters left the scene after 50 minutes.
