A DOG who was rehomed five years ago is now looking for another home after his owner could no longer care for him.

13-year-old Staffordshrie Bull Terrier cross Max is now looking for a retirement home.

Although he is very active he does love to be curled up by the radiator on his bed.

Max is housetrained and can live with children aged around 10 and up.

A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust Merseyside told the Globe: "Max absolutely adores human company and is going to make a wonderful friend for someone who is looking for a companion.

"He’s very active for his age and in great health, and still enjoys his walks and mooching about.

"Max is quite an anxious boy at times, particularly with everything that's happening to him at the moment, and would love to live with someone who is there all day.

"He’s at his happiest when he’s around people and loves to greet his friends, but he isn't so keen on doggy interactions so will need to be the only pet."
