A HEARTFELT tribute was paid by pupils' on their last day of term in memory of a Wirral teenager who died after battling a rare brain tumour.
Will Allen, 14, from Prenton passed away on December 8, 2016 but his classmates at St Anselm’s College wanted to make sure that Will finished the school year with them.
Each of the boys had a picture of Will on the back of their school shirts calling him a ‘true Anselmian’.
During his life Will worked tirelessly to raise £80,000 for treatment in the new year with the support of his favourite Liverpool football club and Hollyoaks cast.
Morgan Evrem, Will’s best friend said: “It only felt right that Will finished year 10 with us today as he started it with us back in September and I’m sure he will join us in spirit in year 11.
“I will always try to keep Will’s memory alive throughout St Anselm’s and the rest of my life.
“He is a great loss to everyone.
“Miss you Will.”
Will’s tumour shrank in the first round of radiotherapy but sadly began to grow again in September.
In November Will began a second round of treatment at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to reduce the tumour.
After his death, Morgan fulfilled Will’s final wish of returning to school on the last day before the Christmas break to meet his friends and teachers by bringing a photograph of the youngster in which was signed by all his friends.
