A MAN was taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Bebington.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the property on Mount Avenue at around 11.54am today (Tuesday) after reports of a blaze in the kitchen of the flat.
One man received first aid by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital for further checks.
Three fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and ventilated the area.
The kitchen and living room of the property was damaged by smoke.
Firefighters remained at the scene for around one hour and 35 minutes.
