TWO 15-year-old students have been treated for burns after a lab accident at a school.
Emergency services were called to St Mary’s College in Wallasey Village at around 9am today after reports of two students suffering with burns.
One student was then taken to Alder Hey Hospital for treatment.
A spokeswoman from North West Ambulance service said: “Two students were treated on the scene.
“A 15-year-old has been taken to Alder Hey Children’s hospital with burns.”
The incident is believed to be an accident.
A spokesman from Merseyside Fire and Rescue service said: “We did attend the incident however the fire service was not required and all teams stood down.”
The Globe have contacted St Mary’s College and are awaiting a comment.
