A WIRRAL schoolgirl has had hair cut in aid of a charity helping children living with cancer.

Emilee Easton, a year four pupil at Woodchurch C of E Primary School has donated 19 inches of her long locks to Little Princesses Trust UK, which provides wigs to children who have lost their hair to cancer treatment.

Emilee had her hair cut on Wednesday at Iconics hair studio in Upton.

The nine-year-old from Woodchurch has never had her hair cut before as she has always been scared of the hairdresser.

Mum Louise told the Globe: "I'm so proud of Emilee and her massive decision to cut her hair; she has this choice all by herself.

"She has never had her hair in her life cut so this is a big change for her and I'm so proud.

"I am so very proud of Emille, she made this decision herself so she could help others.

"It's such a kind and selfless thing to do and shows how much of a caring little girl she is."
