WIRRAL's mayor raised the Armed Forces Day Flag outside Wallasey Town Hall this morning.
Cllr Ann McLachlan was joined for the ceremony by Consort, Mr Bill McLachlan, and soldiers from 234 (Wirral) Squadron RLC based at Chetwynd Army Reserve Centre in Oxton.
The flag will fly until Armed Forces Day this Saturday June 24, when the national celebration takes place in the heart of Liverpool and on the River Mersey.
It is a chance to honour and show support for our Armed Forces and all they do.
