EVIDENCE of a Bronze Age settlement in Wirral has gone on display at the Museum of Liverpool.
A team of archaeologists from the museum discovered the evidence in Bromborough during a dig in 2016.
They were given permission by landowners of a new housing village to lead an excavation before any works started on the build.
During the dig they unearthed tales of historic human activity in the area and re-discovered items previously lost.
Their finds suggested there was a Neolithic / Bronze Age settlement around 6,000 years ago in the area.
An amazing and rare fragment of Anglo-Saxon sculpture was also re-discovered.
The Museum of Liverpool now has all the finds from the dig on display for their free archaelogical exhibition.
They will be available to view until August 2017.
