The categories are:
- Business of the year (three categories)
- Business person of the year
- International Trade
- Sustainability
- People development
- Newcomer of the year
- Rising Star
New for this year will be the way in which the Customer Service Award winner is chosen.
The judging panel will shortlist four companies from all entries received and will then go to a public online vote to determine the winner.
Paula Basnett, chief executive of Wirral Chamber of Commerce said: "Each year the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship demonstrated in the award applications we receive simply gets better and better.
"Wirral Business Awards ensures that the talent and success of our award nominees is recognised and quite rightly rewarded.
"We feel that the award categories reflect fantastic opportunities for all types of businesses, large and small, and I would encourage all companies and individuals to enter this year".
The winners will be revealed during a gala awards ceremony and dinner at Thornton Manor on September 22.
