THE internationally acclaimed Chinese State Circus is set to arrive in Wallasey with a spectacular new production called ‘Dynasty’.

From Tuesday, May 30 to Sunday, June 4 the circus will return to its roots at Central Park.

The breathtaking Dynasty show is projected into a contemporary art form and has thrilled audiences for more than 2,000 years were everyday objects are transformed into hi-tech acrobatic equipment.

Whether it is hurtling porcelain jars, spinning plates, balancing on gigantic pyramids of tables and chairs or cascading aerialists the show has something for everyone to enjoy.

A spokesman for the Circus said: “Stunning world class Chinese acrobats, aerial artistes and jugglers interact with the super-human physical skills and dexterity of the masters of martial arts – the legendary Shaolin Warriors will greet crowds as they come to watch the performance unfold.

“The nonstop action from start to its awesome finale as thrill follows thrill is set to a soaring music score accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Chinese percussion.

“Its outstanding acrobatic achievement that could until now could only be created video through special effects – yet performed live in front of an audience what seems impossible becomes a reality.”

The Chinese State Circus originated 25 years ago when creative director Phillip Gandey became the first director in Europe to gain permission from the Chinese Cultural authorities to be allowed to tour a production of his own with Chinese acrobats.

Phillip said: “In our latest production we have returned to the pure and honest perfection in acrobatics upon which our reputation is based.

“We have the world class artistes capable of performing the excellence required."
