The fire took place at a derelict building on Collin Road in Birkenhead
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a derelict building on Collin Road, Birkenhead.
Two appliances attended the incident when fire broke out on the ground-floor at around 2.40am today.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet and hose reel to extinguish the flames and remained at the scene for around an hour.
