A LURCHER is looking for a family who will give him the forever home he needs.

Two-year-old Bailey currently lives at Dogs Trust Merseyside and has a real talent for making people smile.

He doesn't like to be on his own so will need a family who are around for most of the day.

A spokeswoman from Dogs Trust Merseyside said:"Bailey has oodles of personality and is such a sweetheart.

"Bailey is also very clever and he knows sit and paw, and will talk to you. He also has a fondness for the occasional cup of (sugar free) tea and when he hasn’t seen you in a while, he even smiles as he does his little happy dance.

"He prefers human company to that of other dogs, but staff at the centre have been walking him alongside other dogs and now this bright spark is learning how to be more comfortable around them.

"He loves to play with other leggy dogs like himself, probably as they can keep up with him.

"Bailey needs a home with a secure garden as he likes to explore if he’s given a chance, and will flourish in an adult home."
