DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of man they want to speak to after a 26-year-old woman was raped in Oxton.
The offender befriended his victim before carrying out the attack at around 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 29 near Wirral Christian Centre Church on Woodchurch Road.
The suspect introduced himself as 'Jay Jay' whilst befriending his victim, before carrying out the attack.
He is described as black, around 40 years, with black platted hair, clean shaven with pimples on his chin. He stated he was from Liverpool.
Detective Inspector Susan Ennis said: "This was a despicable attack on a vulnerable young woman and we urge the public to help us track down the perpetrator and take him off our streets.
"Officers have located CCTV footage which provides images of a man we want to speak to in connection with the offence.
"If anybody knows this person or believes they know the identity of the individual to come forward with that information as a matter of urgency"
