THE Tranmere Rovers squad has left Prenton Park for the coach journey down to Wembley before their promotion clash this weekend.

Around 100 fans arrived to see the team for the last time before they go head-to-head against Forest Green Rovers in the National League play-off final on Sunday.

More than 12,000 Tranmere tickets have been sold and travel plans have been announced through the club’s website.

Event timings:

• 1pm gates open for general admission

• 3pm kick off

• 4.45pm full time

• 5.25pm end of extra time (if necessary)

• 5.45pm end of penalties (if necessary)

Wembley Stadium is encouraging all supporters to use public transport.

There will be no dedicated drop off or pick up area in the vicinity of the stadium.

Limited parking spaces are available around the stadium with council parking enforcement teams ensuring unauthorised car parks are closed during events such as this.

There are rail services from Liverpool to London Euston which will arrive prior to the kick off.

The last service from London Euston to Liverpool departs at 9.21pm.

Passengers arriving at Euston can access the London Underground Metropolitan Line service to Wembley Park Station.

Alternatively, commuters may use London Overground services at Euston to access Wembley Central Station.

Fans travelling by coach should arrive at Prenton Park by 7am and report to the directors car park or club shop area and must have the details of the coach booking (coach number and seat number).

The club shop and marquee will be open from 6am to allow fans to buy merchandise such as scarves and flags.

There will be no entry by vehicle or on foot into the stadium via the Legends Lounge entrance on Borough Road. 

Coaches will depart by 8am at the latest. 

Supporters club coaches have different arrangements and will leave from Borough Road, rear of Johnny King Stand.

Return coaches will disembark near to the Club Shop and vehicles arriving to pick up fans should not enter the club or Birch Tree car park as these will be used to marshal coaches.
