A HOST of former professional footballers will take on Wirral Radio FC players in a charity match next month.

Proceeds from the game at Penton Park on Friday, May 12 will go to The Lee Knight Foundation, Wirral Kids and Wirral Radio.

Former Tranmere players Ian Muir, Dave Higgins, Gareth Roberts, Andy Robinson, Alan Mahon, Jim Harvey, Kenny Irons, Ian Moore, Steve Vickers, Alex Hay, Shaun Garnett, Chris Malkin, Mark Hughes, Eddie Bishop, Danny Holmes Ged Brannan, Andy Parkinson, Tony Warner, Eric Nixon and Les Parry will appear along with special guests Adi Akinbye, Frank Sinclair and Birkenhead boxer Sean 'Masher' Dodd.

Rovers legendary player and former manager, Ronnie Moore, will take charge of the Rovers Legends XI while Wirral Radio's Adam Siddorn will charge of Wirral Radio FC.

The match kicks-off at 6pm.

Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children with all proceeds going to the charities.

After the match, the Legends Bar at Prenton will host local singer Casey Cunningham and a disco hosted by Duracell Discos' Dave Leece.

To raise further funds there will be raffle prizes and a charity auction with Liverpool, Everton and Rovers having donated signed balls and shirts. 

Tickets to this event are from Glory Hunters in Borough Road, Birkenhead or on the gate on the day of the match.
