The programme follows Jimmy from New Brighton who can’t find a job as his religious beliefs prevent him working on Sundays.
While single mum Nicola from Birkenhead reveals how she has become an expert bargain hunter when stretching her benefits.
The show also features Wallasey man Joe who has a number of serious health conditions and hasn’t had a shower at home in three years.
Joe has also been on the waiting list for a specially adapted bungalow for more than three years but "things are finally looking up."
Three years ago Channel 4 made a decision to film a new series of its infamous reality show "Benefits Street" in Birkenhead North.
After protests from householders, councillors and Globe readers, the programme makers backed down and abandoned the plans.
