British Transport Police confirmed the incident
POWER was shut off at a Wirral Line station after a person threatened to harm themselves.
Emergency services attended the station at New Brighton around 1.20pm.
A spokesman for the Bitish Transport Police confirmed the incident and said: "We were called at 1.19pm to concern for welfare of a person at New Brighton station.
"We are currently on scene with the ambulance service."
An emergency isolation has taken place on the New Brighton line, due to a person threatening to harm themselves. More info will follow.

Merseyrail passengers are being warned that the 1.23pm New Brighton service to James St is expected to run up to 10 minutes late.
