NESTON Nomads Vets and Shotton Steel Vets have both booked a place in the semi finals of the CWFL Doug Johnson Trophy.
Neston beat Frodsham Park Vets 4-0 while Shotton maintained their unbeaten record, defeating the much-fancied Mersey Royal Vets 3-1.
They will be accompanied in the semis by Avenue Vets and either Blacon Youth Vets or Bushell Athletic Vets who play their quarter-final next week.
Blacon move into third place in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division, claiming their third straight win in a week.
On Monday they entertained Shaftesbury Youth, running out 2-1 winners. On Wednesday it was the turn of Ellesmere Port FC to host Blacon. In a tight game Blacon ran out 5-3 winners.
On Saturday Blacon travelled the short distance to second placed Newton Athletic and had Sam Henry to thank for a brace that earned them a 2-1 win.
Blacon are now 12 points behind Birkenhead with four games in hand and a far superior goal difference.
Shaftesbury Youth finished their league campaign with a 2-2 draw with Ellesmere Port Town Reserves.
Ellesmere Port FC had Graham Davidson and Phil Abraham hit the mark in the 2-0 win over Higher Bebington Kelma.
In the divisions other game Christleton Celtic defeated MBNA 2-0.
In the relegation battle Elton Athletic leapfrog Eastham Athletic.
Elton ran out 4-3 winners with goals from Mitch Jarvis, Adam Hall, John Heaton and Dean Disley.
Dan Piggott 2 and Lewis Stephenson replied for Eastham in this seven-goal thriller.
Nathan Cooper fired a hattrick for AFC Quays as they beat Crossway 3-2 in their CWFL Link Up Division Two encounter.
This was Crossway's second defeat in four days after they suffered a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Upton JFC on Wednesday night.
Overpool Athletic remain in second after a 3-1 win over Princes Villa.
In the CWFL Monday Night 11's CEMEX recorded their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Upton Rangers while Wirral Utd and ESWA fought out a 3-3 draw.
In the CWFL Friday Night 11's Royal Flush beat M & S Bank 4-1, keeping them in pole position on goal difference.
Second-placed Blacon Vets also beat Countess of Chester 3-1.
