THE luck of the Irish will hopefully help an unlucky homeless four-legged friend find his forever home this Saint Patrick’s Day.

Paddy, the three-year-old Terrier Cross was found wandering the streets on Saint Patrick’s Day two years ago and was named on his arrival to the rehoming centre.

He is still yet to find his forever home.

The black and white Terrier Cross is full of fun, loves people and likes to make new friends whenever he can.

He can live with teenagers but would benefit from owners who have the time to continue with his training because, at the moment, he doesn’t like spending time with other dogs.

Dogs Trust Merseyside’s Rehoming Centre manager Georgina Lowery said: “It might be Saint Patrick’s Day but for our lovely Paddy, it feels like Groundhog Day too. Since arriving with us he has definitely been down on his luck as he has been overlooked by hundreds of dog-lovers.

“Now we’ve got our fingers crossed and hope he will strike it lucky this Saint Patrick’s Day.”

The team at the centre would also love the day to prove lucky this year for another Paddy, a Lurcher who arrived at the rehoming centre back in November 2015 who is also longing for his forever home.

Georgina added: “It would just be fantastic if their luck changed this Saint Patrick’s Day. They have both had a pretty tough time and it would be so lovely to see them land on their paws and find their forever families.”
