COMMUTERS faced short delays after a stray dog jumped onto train tracks at Bidston.
The incident took place at around 8am today on the West Kirby line.
Merseyrail staff managed to retrieve the dog and services have now returned to normal.
Merseyrail tweeted at 8am: “Services are slightly delayed on the West Kirby line this morning due to a dog on the line at Bidston. More info to follow.”
At 8.20am another update said: “Services are now on the move at Bidston following a dog being loose on the line earlier. Dog is safe and well.”
