FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a care home’s laundry room in Rock Ferry.
They were called to the building on Egerton Park on Wednesday afternoon.
All residents were evacuated from the building and assessed by an on-site nurse.
No-one was injured.
The laundry room was severely damaged by the fire and all floors in the building sustained smoke damage.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hose reel jets to put out the fire before ventilating the area.
They remained at the care home for around 90 minutes.
