A man who was found dead on the central reservation on the M53 last week has been named.
The body of Michael Daniel, aged 30, from Oxton, was discovered between junctions 2 and 3 on Thursday, February 9.
Police say although the circumstances leading up to Michael’s death are unclear it is believed he had been struck by a car.
The M53 was closed both directions for 21 hours.
An investigation into his death is on-going and the Matrix roads policing investigation team are continuing to appeal for information.
His family have asked to be left alone to grieve at this time.
