A man was taken to hospital after a car overturned this morning on the M53.
Emergency services arrived at the scene between junction 4 and 3 by Clatterbridge Hospital around 10am to reports that a car had crashed into an embankment and flipped over.
The 67-year-old male driver got out of the black Vauxhall Corsa unaided.
Two fire engines attended and crews used stabilising equipment to secure the car.
He was taken to Aintree University Hospital for further checks.
