A SOUTH Wirral man suffered minor injuries and had money, bank cards and mobile phone stolen during a robbery in Ellesmere Port.

The 42-year-old was walking down Flatt Lane in the direction of Regent Street when he was approached by a masked man who demanded he handed over the items.

After taking the items the man fled towards Princes Road.

Investigating officer DC Robert Moore said: “The victim in this case has been left extremely shocked and has suffered minor injuries as a result of this incident and I am keen to trace the person responsible.

“I urge anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident and believes that they may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact the team here at Ellesmere Port on 101.”
