Wirral Globe:

The letter reads:

Dear Marjorie, Thank you very much for telephoning me and I am so very sorry to hear this sad news of your dear mother.

The sense of loss I know must be very great most especially in your circumstances when you were so very close and caring.

I've a lot of memories of your mum Marjorie and normally I would have come to her funeral to pay my last respects but I only have a 'Daily Post' paper nowadays.

Do ring me when you have the time to come over Marjorie.

Is so lovely to see you.

Remember the happy times with your mum. No-one could have had a more caring daughter.

We all admired you so much for your devotion for beyond that of most people.

Kind regards to Derek and Jan.

Yours sincerely, Marjorie
