AN information hub is being created in Arrowe Park Hospital and Globe readers are being invited to come up with a name for it.

Situated in the main lift lobby, it will feature a range of important information and a quiet area for users to discuss private or sensitive matters.

It will also be the new home for members of the Wirral University Teaching Hospital Trust's patient relations team, who will be on hand offering advice, support and reassurance.

Education and advice sessions will be available from members of hospital staff who are committed to the health and wellbeing of patients, including those from the hospital's stop smoking and substance misuse services.

Associate director of nursing, Alison Quinn said: "This will be a thriving hub of communication activity located at the very heart of the hospital that will benefit our patients, visitors and our staff.

"We have listened to our patients and their families who have often said they would like to have an easily accessible, centrally based hospital location where they can obtain important information and advice in a timely manner and to speak with members of staff face to face.

"We are asking patients, visitors and staff for their help in naming this area that has been developed with them in mind."

The name can be no more than four words long and the deadline for entries is 11pm on Sunday, November 20.
