Detectives have released CCTV images of a man who they believe could assist with their inquiries following a hate crime incident in Wirral.
Officers were called to Pasture Road, Moreton, to a report of two men using racist language and damaging property at around 5.30pm on Friday, September 30.
Officers from the specialist Sigma unit have viewed CCTV footage and are keen to speak to the man in the images or anyone who might recognise him as they believe he might have information that could help with their inquiries.
Detective Constable Polly O’Brien said: "This was a completely unprovoked verbal and physical attack.
"I'm sure the public would agree, this type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident, or anyone who recognises the man pictured to get in touch."
Anyone who recognises the person in the photographs, or has any other information about the incident, should call the Wirral Sigma hate crime unit on 0151 777 2884 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
