FLY-TIPPERS have turned a Wirral alleyway into a dumping ground.

Pictures sent in by Globe reader Sarah Blackburn show just some of the rubbish that has been left in the entry which runs alongside her home in Atherton Drive, Greasby.

She says repeated calls to landlords Magenta Housing have brought no action.

Magenta have said they are aware of the situation.

Sarah said: "The alleyway is filled with drugs, tyres and dog mess.

Wirral Globe:

"The council's environmental health department has registered it as anti-social behaviour but won't come out and fix it because they say it is private ownership.

"I have asked Magenta to sign it over to me but they won’t do anything.

"I'd be happy to take it over.

"It's got to the point where enough is enough. Magenta don't seem to care.

"The smell of dog faeces comes into the garage and then into the house.

"It's unbearable. No-one should have to put up with this.

"Every two weeks I fill a trailer up of rubbish from the alley but I'm refusing to do it now.”

In a statement, Magenta said: "Magenta Living owns a portion of the alleyway next to Ms Blackburn`s home.

"We are in the process of writing to Ms Blackburn to formally offer what we hope is a longer term solution to the maintenance of the alleyway."
