EX-pupils from Manor County Primary School, Birkenhead are on the hunt for past teachers and students after more than 40 years of leaving the school.

Ann Williams, now Mannion and Steve Oates left the school back in 1975 and are looking to find past friends that shared these important years with them.

The pair started the campaign after bumping into each-other in a street two years ago and haven't looked back since.

Now the hunt is on to find their missing class-mates and teachers who they were unable to find first time round.

During their last meet up, the pals – joined by two dinner ladies, raised £100 for St. John's Hospice selling raffle tickets and marked the passing of some fellow pupils by using some lanterns.

Ann told the Globe: "We are planning another reunion in November, we have decided to try find as many teachers as we can - as well as more class mates, we’ve been having a lot of trouble tracking the teachers down.

“We have also lost a few of our ex-friends, so we released some lanterns for them in their memory.

"The next reunion will take place at Beechwood Social Club on 25th November and we want to see if there are any more people out there who we have yet, not been able to find."
