THE chairman of Wallasey sea cadets hopes Globe readers can help identify the mystery person in this framed picture.
John Mason said the picture was found during a clear out at the cadets headquarters.
It shows a person dressed in Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (RNVR) uniform, and is thought to have been taken in the late 1930s.
But his identity is a mystery and Mr Mason hopes readers can help.
Who is he?
He said: "This picture is more than 60 years old, and the person in it would be at least 18 at the time.
"We're going to hang it up in our headquarters.
"It may well be that the young man in the picture is still alive or maybe his relatives recognise him.
"If so, we would like to hear from them.
"They could certainly help answer a few questions, like who is he? and was he from Wallasey?"
If you can help solve the mystery, call Wallasey Sea Cadets on 0151 639 1743 on Friday or Tuesday evening.
