Argos staff at Pyramids Shopping Centre have raised more than £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Care this year.

On Friday the store raised £250 with thanks to shoppers donating at their Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Customer service manager Pamela Thomas said: “We are delighted by the response we received on Friday from our shoppers.

“Customers were very kind in their donations and have been very supportive in our fundraising throughout the year.

“Our staff here have also been fantastic by getting involved in all our fundraising activities.

“Prior to the coffee morning we had raised £1,956.47 and we are delighted we have now exceeded £2,000.”

Staff have also had their own personal competition, baking several cakes in hope of winning the best decorated cake in the store.

Commercial director at Pyramids, Derek Millar, said: “The Argos team are fantastic in their fundraising efforts and I would like to congratulate them on their success so far.”
