The Birkenhead Park Festival of Transport was greeted by a brief spell of sunshine at the weekend.
Since its launch in 2008, the event has raised more than £22,000 for local charities and good causes with the money distributed through Birkenhead Lions Club.
Themed as Transport through the ages, the event featured Victorian and Edwardian steam traction engines, steam boats, a steam-powered fairground, brass bands, trade stands and vintage buses.
It also featured the Howard Brothers steam gallopers alongside Punch & Judy and donkey rides and laser clay pigeon shooting.
Commemorating the 76th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and organisers had a full-size replicas of a Spitfire, German ME 109 and a V1 flying bomb.
Last year, more than 25,000 enthusiasts turned out for the event.
