CAST and crew had a special "launch" for the touring version of the play Twopence To Cross the Mersey.
A cast of eight, including Eithne Browne, Jake Abraham and Emma Dears, donned '30s costumes and delighted travellers taking the ferry cruise.
The play, brought to the stage by Wirral-based Pulse Productions, starts a three-week run at the Royal Court next week and then goes on a North West tour.
Eithne (pictured, above with co-star Jake Abraham during the launch) told the Globe: "I play eight characters.
"It's a great company and I have always loved the story."
The play, written by Helen Forrester, tells the true story of how she dreamed as a child of escaping poverty in Liverpool by getting the ferry to a new life in Hoylake.

A huge banner for the show will be erected outside the Mersey tunnel today.
Eithne was also in fine voice in more ways than one.
She is the voice passengers hear on the tannoys describng the history of the ferry and Merseyside.
"I was being interviewed by the Wirral Globe and hearing my own voice in the background," she laughed.
