HUNDREDS of music-lovers descended on Eastham Ferry on Saturday to enjoy the sounds of Glastonferry.

The festival which took place during August bank holiday weekend showcased local talent.

Organised by Christopher Locke, the event hosted many Wirral bands including Insanity Beach and Ragamuffin.

Chris said: “It was a fantastic weekend and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

“It was a unique weekend of laughter, smiles, friendship, happiness and brilliant music.”

The festival was raising money for Claire House Children’s Charity which is based in Bebington. Many people working during the festival were volunteers.

It seems everyone agreed that the weekend was a success as many took to social media to praise all those involved with running the event.

As well as twenty hours of live music there was also plenty to do for the whole family with face painting, bouncy castles and a barbecue.

The money raised during the weekend is still being counted.
