AGNES AND ALBERT DAVIES 31st August 2016 70th Wedding Anniversary. Agnes and Albert first met in 1942. Prior to meeting, Albert had been badly wounded in the Atlantic Battle and had spent five months in the Naval Base Hospital Ship in Freetown,West Africa. He courted Agnes throughout the war. He sailed into many hard times and lost two more ships. After 6th June, 1944, he was posted to the far east and his ship operated down the Burma coast. The war ended when the 'A' Bomb finished the war. He returned home and married Agnes on 31st August, 1946.
