POLICE have released an e-fit photograph of a man they want to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted near a Wirral car park. 

The victim was aged in her 50s and was running along the cinder path leading from Riverwood Road car park in Bromborough at around 7pm on Tuesday, July 19, when a man jumped out of the bushes and grabbed her by her top causing it to rip.

She was able to struggle from his grip and ran away and het attacker fled back into the bushes.

The woman was not injured but was left shaken by her ordeal.

An investigation is underway and CCTV and forensic opportunities have been explored.

Police have now issued an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to.

He is 5ft 10in tall, of very slim build, and approximately 60 years of age.

He was wearing a black tracksuit and black gloves.

Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Riverwood Road on that evening and saw anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch.

"It would have been still daylight when the incident occurred and the description we have of the man and his clothing is very distinctive."
