Premier Division new boys Grange Hearts certainly had the adrenalin flowing when beating Great Float S&S 5-3 with a great team performance that saw Billy New net two and Stewart Toner, Andy Noonan and Callum Evans all registering to open their account.

Woodchurch United overcame Poulton Royal with a late winner in their 4-3 success, as Dan Povall, Ben Holes and Chris Griffiths (two) found the net, with Joe Carroll and John Pomphrett (two) hitting the responses in a well-fought contest.

Injury-ravaged FC Victoria were put to the sword by Millhouse who eased home in double figures thanks to Tom Quinn netting six times.

Paul Cupit hit a treble, Andy Cook a brace and Ryan Clarke claimed a single, with an own-goal completing the rout.

In Division One newcomers JASGA PV solved the problem of Matrix FC when winning 7-0, with Ben Speed and Danny Price scoring doubles and Stewart Speed, Adam Baxter and Darren Pritchard all netting singles.

Newly-promoted Lord Nelson gave a regal performance to beat Cavendish FC 7-3, with Jordan Griffiths (three), Carl Barker (two), Jamie Payne and Paul Williams doing the damage, as Josh Hatton (two) and Keith Roberts netted the replies.

AFC Tima only had a single goal from Sean Redgrift to celebrate as they lost 4-1 away to Wallasey Mens, but showing Upton FC the way were Liver View who won 3-0 with goals from David Tacy, Scott Tebb and Jamie Guy.

Division Two action saw Pilot Boat sail to victory when beating Eastham Rangers 5-1 due to Dan Murphy (two), Luke Street (two) and Kieran Sait hitting the target, with Joe Skinner grabbing the lone response.

Poulton Vics Youth edged out Queens Liscard in a 3-2 success that saw Brad Greer score twice and Jordan Dilworth once in an end-to-end affair, as Danny Lecoko and Chris Smith scored for Queens.

North Wirral Saints fought out a 3-3 draw with PLCCFC thanks to efforts from Jon Brown (two) and Max Leigh with Mike Keogh, Lee Charlton and Adam McComb firing the responses in an exciting fixture.

Stanley’s Cask were rolled over by Poulton Vics who had Scott Naylor, Sean Wright, Dean Naylor and Ben Winstanley as their marksmen on the day.
