A WOMAN was rescued from Thurstaston beach after she became stuck in the mud.
Coastguard teams from Wirral and Flint were called at around 10.25am yesterday.
They managed to free the woman, who is thought to have become stuck while out walking her dog, after one hour.
Crews from Merseyside Fire and Rescue service were also in attendance together with paramedics.
The age of the woman is not known or if the incident left her injured.
After she was freed, the woman was put in an ambulance.
A Coastguard spokesman said: “Parts of that area are dangerous with sinking sand and mud nearby.
“The lady had a dog with her so it is possible she was out on a walk before she became stuck.”
