Three fire engines attended from Bromborough, Birkenhead and Liverpool City Centre
AN 89-year-old woman was taken to hospital after fire broke out in the kitchen of her Bebington flat.
Firefighters were called to Bromborough Road just after 4pm on Sunday after a pan of food ignited.
The elderly occupant was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Arrowe Park Hospital for further checks.
Three fire engines attended from Bromborough, Birkenhead and Liverpool City Centre.
Crews remained at the scene for around 30 minutes.
